School Districts In The (Think) Tank ?

Well, what do you know, more think tank reports giving a variety of conflicting opinions on subjects ranging from childhood obesity to taxation and school reform!

I can't recall any time in my history where so much attention has been paid to the findings of a specific panel of so-called experts. It's as if you need to check with the Brookings Institute ( in Washington, D.C.) to find out the solution to any issue here in Maine.

Is it time for us to commission a study (from one of these prestigious think tanks no doubt) to determine whether it is feasible to replace bureaucrats and legislators by simply implementing think tank recommendations as policy?
