Rumor Control: Whoa! Not True!
Here's the agenda for Wednesday's School Board meeting, courtesy of yr fthfl & obdt svt! It's all there, every bit of it, in living black and white, reproduced just as it came to us.
Which reminds me...we need to clear up a misunderstanding. It's come up that some folks think that we here at Voters actually write these agendas. As evidence, these confused (tho' well meaning) folks point out that Voters always has the agendas before the District has them!
To be very scrupulous, we have to state that this is just not true! The District in fact has the agendas before we do, on Friday actually. We receive them in the mail on Saturday and then post them when we see that the District has not posted them themselves.
Of course we could write an agenda ourselves and a damn good one too...
Note to self: As a project, write an agenda that embodies the public's interests, that allows time for discussion of the important issues, that opens up the Board's activities to public scrutiny.
Bonus round: Write minutes that reflect what actually happened at the meeting!
