Breaking News: Solons Jump the Rails!
According to a story in this morning's Bangor Daily News, the Maine House yesterday voted 73-59 to repeal the entire consolidation law! [link when available] LINK!
This follows Monday's curious reversals by the Senate, which first approved LD 1932, the "Superunion" measure, and then, after a Baldacci veto, killed the measure! The first vote (21-14) had seemed to indicate sufficient votes to override. The second vote had only 12 solons supporting an override!
