Almost Closing Time...

for the poll (upper left). It'll close tomorrow evening at 9 pm, with results reported and mulled over on Monday morning. If you haven't voted yet, consider this post your gold-edged invitation!

The poll is unscientific, unrepresentative perhaps, and counts for nothing! Nothing? Not exactly. We're asking the questions here that we wish were being asked elsewhere. Asking them here gives you a chance to "weigh in" and even people who pretend to not be paying attention are, in their own way.

In other locations, this question, that is, whether to have a pre-K program, and where to site it has been a matter of public discussion and voting (here and here). We trust that discussion will occur here too in the not-very-distant future.

There's in some quarters an attitude that all of this sort of thing should be left to the experts. As well, it's incredible, but some believe that asking questions will somehow ruin the push toward a new school!

We say "codswallop!"
