How About Those Hearings!!!!

In spite of the citizens' interest in discussions of the proposed new K-8 school, little has been announced regarding any future public meetings. Maybe we need to address the issue in the language of the athletic directors, who now hold all of the leadership roles in our school district. (At one time athletics were extra-curricular, meaning in addition to curriculum. Now they are co-curricular, considered equal to curriculum.)

In an effort to increase the Administration's interest I propose the creation of a new sport. The sport of public participation, while not new, has not been practiced much here lately so some of the equipment may not be in good shape. Tiger fans need not fear though, since the Hearing Boosters is in the process of being formed, and will be totally supportive of the sport, and there are many eager participants waiting to get their chance to face the opposition.

The sport requires a well-connected Coach, which is the standard hiring practice, and an advertisement for the position can be found here . I'm sure that there are adequate facilities for the sport and that with a little practice the team could put on a good showing.

So while other school districts debate the addition of new sports like lacrosse or ice hockey, let's get behind the local effort to adopt the new sport of (cheer) P-U-B-L-I-C - H-E-A-R-I-N-G-S.

The "good ole boys" are holding their public beerings at the Watering Hole. Maybe that's where the public should be meeting with 'em.

As for the "good ole boys"...here is just another example
of "questionable" role models for students in this community. We all know exactly why some of these "good ole boys" are in the system, don't we?
