Friday Morning Coffee Club

Hi. Come on in. I was just taking these scones from the oven. They're plain ones today, but sometimes I add dried cranberries or currants. As they say, it's all good!

Coffee? And here's some butter for the scones, though truthfully, these are so loaded with butter already...

Did you see the BDN yesterday? When we vote on the budget, we're also voting on a tuition agreement with Harmony. According to the article, they'll pay the state rate. [most recent rates here -- ed.]

There also was an article about Guilford hiring a new high school principal. They had eleven candidates! Makes you wonder...

One more thing I saw in the BDN, this was a few days ago. An amazing piece about that switch to the SAT instead of the MEA for 11th grade. Looks like the Commissioner didn't do her homework. I thought that whole deal was a little hinky. Now I know it was!

Word for word from an actual conversation on
Friday morning. Audio available on request.
