Poll Results: K-8 Wins!

In an admittedly unscientific poll (though the "scientific" polls don't always fare well, either) participants pretty solidly chose a K-8 configuration for the projected new school.

Obviously, no one should immediately go out and spend millions on such a project without much greater consultation with the voters. Notable as well is significant opposition, both from those who wish to retain the primary schools in the "east," as well as from those who remain unconvinced of the need for anything more than a middle school. Presumably others may have felt excluded because they feel there just shouldn't be a new school at all. When all of the "opposition" is added up, it may be formidable.

The "takeaway"? No surprises here. The voters need more information, and they need to be brought into the discussion. But that's a no-brainer!
