Agenda Watch

The Agenda for Wednesday’s School Board Meeting was posted at the MSAD46.org website here this morning.

Printed copies of the School Board Agenda are, typically, mailed to Board members, the press, the town offices, and anyone else who’s interested* on the Friday before the meeting, with most receiving it in Saturday’s mail.

Oddly enough, the Agenda posted this morning differs from last Friday’s printed version in several areas. (The printed version is what we posted here and here, of course.)

From the online version:

[Negotiations Committee report omitted]

J. Approval of Section 125 Conversion Plan for Non-Represented Employees

Q. Policy—First Reading (Animals in Schools -- IMG)
are omitted.

3. Meetings
[no longer itemized]
School Board Meeting Agendas are governed by policy BDD, By-Laws for Maine School Administrative District No. 46. These would appear to be the relevant sections of that policy:

3. All Board members will be sent an agenda and notification of time and place of meetings at least two days in advance of regularly scheduled meetings.

8. The Superintendent shall, with the advice and consent of the Chairman, be responsible for making-up and send out an agenda.

13. The Chairman and Superintendent may add items to the agenda after it is mailed to all the Board members; however, the Board members may vote to table any added item until the next regular meeting.
These changes to the Agenda will probably announced as "add-ons" at the meeting.
