Schultz: "I Know Nothing! Nothing!"
We were unable to attend last evening's School Board meeting. Our apologies.
In any case, you'll know some of what happened there when the minutes come out, on or about September 1st. We'll be sure to post them here.
We say some because the minutes won't include a report from the Technology Sub-Committee.
And you won't get the Superintendent's Report or the Chairman's Report.
Any discussion of consolidation that occurs at these points or under Action Item "L. Notice of Intent - Reorganization" will not be represented in the minutes.
Likewise, if the New School Project is discussed, you won't be informed of a) the discussion, or b) what the status of the project is.
You're unlikely to get any more information on the new Dexter Primary School/Garland Elementary School Principal (We believe this person comes to us from Fort Kent Elementary School).
So, actually, you'll know very little more than what the Agenda already told you.
Yep, the only way to know what's actually going on is to personally contact a Board member or the Superintendent, just as Anonymous has been recommending!
It's just unrealistic to expect that the public's business should not only be conducted in the open but also be made public!
