New Poll: Is The Fern Property The Best Site?

As you're perhaps aware, the District is planning a "straw vote" site approval meeting in July. They've selected a site in Dexter, on the Fern Road, just off Route 94, for building a new K-8 school.

The "straw vote," if positive (and, we might add, even if from a small number of attendees), will allow the District to go before the State Board of Education on August 9th for a go-ahead on the next phase of the project. (My guess is that the Board wishes to bring the new school project to the voters for final approval in November, at the General Election, though this has not been stated.)

So, within the next month or so, you're going to hear a lot about this site. We'll do our best here to provide information on this issue.

In the meantime, with what you now know, do you favor the Fern site for a new school?

Weigh in. Vote in the poll!
