An Informed Public Be Damned!

The real agenda (14-Jun-2006 17:29 101K) is now up (here also), linked at this page, replacing the one that formerly was here (13-Jun-2006 08:12 99K) , preserved here, and which we discussed here.

Complicated enough?

Here's the gist of it: One hour and 31 minutes before the meeting, the real agenda is posted, replacing the incorrect, earlier, turns-out-to-have-been-a-draft agenda that had been posted (mistakenly, apparently) the previous day, approximately 35 hours before the meeting!

The agenda was set on Friday, and those on the mailing list got their agenda on Saturday, four days before the meeting. Others had to deal with the tardiness and confusion of the District's web site!

The indifference to the public's need to know is both astounding and depressing!

Hmm, maybe the District really does need to hire a professional to help them communicate...
