Enrollments: How much longer will there be a DRHS?

Every number tells a story, at least given some context.

The District's enrollments have held up much longer than the commissioned population projections of several years ago -- required for the new school process -- would have had you believe. The numbers held up better and longer, we think, due to the growth in the "Eastern Townships" -- Exeter and Garland.

Now, between this Spring and next Fall, there's a projected enrollment drop of *50* at the high school, with the total dropping from 361 to 311.

Carrying forward the numbers from the Middle School with no other changes would lead to a projected drop for the following year (Fall 2008) of another 24, with a total high school enrollment of 287. By this method (admittedly crude) we can project enrollments of 274 in Fall 2009 and 251 in Fall 2010.

High school consolidation?
