More Budget Data -- Assessments

Here's a scan of assessments to the towns, for the present year (2006-2007) and next year's projected figures (2007-2008) :

Assessments to the District as a whole are up 7.03%, as stated in yesterday's post. Dexter is up 5.85%, Exeter 4.04%, Garland 7.59%, and Ripley 18.68%

Local EPS, formerly known as Foundation, is the amount that must be raised locally in order to get the full State allocation.

In 2006-7, SAD #46 raised $ 1,871,500 Local EPS to receive $5,793,897 State Allocation.

In 2007-8, SAD #46 must raise $ 2,019,960 Local EPS to receive $6,265,825 State Allocation, or $148,460 more to receive $471,928.

You can see from the full assessment sheet, linked above, that in Fiscal Year 2004, the Foundation was $2,000,313. Each of the next three years it dropped, and then, in this proposed budget, takes a a sharp swing up, going up 7.93%
