BDN Letter: "Repeated Votes Wrong"
In a letter in today's Bangor Daily News, Steve Burleson of Camden reacts to an earlier BDN article ("SAD 46's Rejected Funding Requests to Be Sent to Voters a Second Time," May 15):

The writer of the letter is wrong.
Why bother with a referendum vote at all? Think of all the money saved by going directly to a district budget meeting! There you can pack the hall with teachers, support staff,and administrators. Conduct the vote with a show of hands to intimidate any opposition and be assured that voters will never be bothersome again! It's worked every single time in the past!
