We've Got Plans for You!

My apologies for the poor quality of the photo! This overall draft plan, and photos of plans for the first and second floors are also at the "Citizens" site, here. No doubt better quality images will be posted at newschoolproject.info soon.

The shape of the building is evolving, as you can see by comparing this design to the earlier design here. The "splayed" academic wings first showed up here (about November 9), but further modifications have made the front of the building more "curved' than in previous sketches.

In the lower center of the site are the 4 planned athletic fields; 2 spring sports (baseball and softball) and 2 fall sports (field hockey and soccer). Better details will be available later.

I thought that the new school would solve the problem of inadequate playfields for the middle school programs. There are at least two soccer teams, (boys and girls), possibly B teams as well and unless the plan eliminates it, football too. We're buying a lot of acreage that we can't even make fields on!
Are there any other surprises like the extra $30,000 for a barn??

No wonder it wouldn't fit on the Abbott hill. The way things are spread out, they can't even fit another field on the Fern site unless it's under water.
