Exclusive: Anonymous Comes Up Big!

The following is a "District Announcement" sent out on Friday, February 9. We've wondered why such great good news was not being shared with the public. We finally just had to tell somebody!

Good Afternoon,
It is with great pleasure that I write this e-mail to all of you today. As some of you are probably aware, the Plummer Memorial Foundation has given $100,000. for a fitness center in the new school. As of last evening we received verbal confirmation for a gift of $289,000. to cover the cost of increasing the size of the new schools gymnasium!! The donor wishes to remain anonymous at this time. I am very pleased that the community is getting behind this project and funding additional space for the new school. From the response at the straw vote and these wonderful giving organizations we have really created momentum for this project. It doesn't stop here. It is going to take all of us working very hard to sell this project for the next 6 weeks in preparation for referendum. This gets more and more exciting each day.

Have a great weekend!

Kevin Jordan
Superintendent of Schools
SAD #46 Dexter, Maine
